I "hate" Bill Russell.

Of course not on a personal level. He is a man of dignity and class. A winner in every respect.

But as soon as he was stolen by the Celtics from the stupid St Louis Hawks, my beloved Syracuse Nats never had a serious chance for a title. I saw him many times in the War Memorial. He was consistently amazing.

Nike Tamurian, the sports anchor on Channel 3, just said that Rakeem Christmas last Saturday was "just three blocks away from the mythical triple double". He had 14 points, 12 rebounds and 7 blocks.

If he had three more blocks it would have been epic. But would it have been "mythical"? :noidea:

Its mythical IMO because the 3rd component is a wild card. If you are a guard or small forward, it is steals. Big guys, blocks.
