The only way to be in on Autry for 25-26 season

Whatever he does, and you can't say this often, it will have to be better than the process and the players we got last year. Putting it bluntly, we didn't know what we were doing last year. And, we didn't have enough money anyway.
This is wild to me, because I thought the sentiment was the staff was some well-oiled moneyball machine last year. All but one move was intentional. Staff felt smarter than other programs. Looked down their noses at programs "overpaying" for guys not worth it. Maybe I'm misremembering what was said here.

In discussing that we'll struggle to completely overhaul the roster, remember that it was said last off-season that Red intentionally got guys from the portal with one year of eligibility left because of the expected talent coming in for year 3. He wanted to make sure positions were open next year.

There's been quite a bit of chatter on JJ, Donnie, Choppa etc, curious if those with opinions would lay out who they'd expect on the roster next season, starting or otherwise?

Impossible to say who will start [IMO] before knowing the portal additions.

What we DO know is that there is going to be a lot of attrition this off-season. Five seniors graduate [McLeod, Lampkin, Davis, Taylor, and Carlos].

In addition to those five, we have several players with additional eligibility who may portal out. I'll add my opinion about the likelihood, based upon info that has been shared / what I've heard:
  • Bell [highly likely to bail]
  • Westry [highly likely to bail]
  • Moore [highly likely to bail]
  • Freeman [moderate likely to bail]
  • Cuffe [who knows]
  • JJ [who knows]
  • Petar [low likelihood]

What are we hearing about the Moore camp? It's been indicated they're unhappy. Any specifics?

These threads multiply like Gremlins jumping in a swimming pool.

Sometimes I think we have more interest and activity when we're bad.

Where is this rumor coming from?
Couple posts here and heard offline secondhand. I don't have any specifics and I don't know if there's any merit to anything. Just that the camp might be unhappy and looking to the portal. Which, of course, is not surprising as there's a number of reasons I can think of that would make him want to go. Wondering if anyone here can confirm there's a rift. Either way, deals both good and bad will be made over the next month so we'll see what happens.

I am fully preparing for:

"We had more outgoing players than we expected and we had to bring in more players and spread the NIL around in lesser amounts than we had hoped. It affected the quality of the players we could get."

I refuse to believe that will be said. These guys have to know they are coaching for their jobs. You don't put your future in second tier players. We got them this year because we didn't know what we were doing. We still might not know what we are doing but at the very least, I have to think they know they need a stud or two.

Maybe it won't be said, but I guess I mean I won't be surprised with the reality of Freeman, Moore, etc. leaving in the portal (players that the staff was counting on staying.)

It won't need to be said.

We'll all just know if they can't keep who they planned to keep and have to divvy up the NIL pie further than planned.

I haven't seen this posted more than once - but if I'm wrong, someone please correct me. The post originally came from someone dialed into the program, but it wasn't any declaration. It sounded like something was shared and at the time, Moore (and/or camp) wasn't terribly happy about things. However, who the heck is?

My perspective is that while I'd like to keep Moore, he has gotten a lot of time on the court as a freshman and would have seen more minutes had he produced more than 3-4 games. While I'm critical of Red on a lot of things, his usage of Moore is not one of them.
