Ped st fudged up with that firing.. kinda like ‘Cuse did with Paul P!
Here’s to hoping 25 years of garbage football!!!

Deion has some pretty serious health issues, who knows if he even coaches another year at ColoradoHaven’t looked at this thread for a few days, but I saw one of the clickbait articles throwing Deion Sanders into the mix. Article was blatantly titled like PSU had hired him. Yeah, that would be a huge name hire for them, but definitely not a long term stability hire. Would create recruiting nightmares in the NE for sure. Did I miss all the discussion on this? I’m sure it’s back on page 16 or 17 but I don’t have the time to browse. I don’t see it happening, unless of course

NOW I’m worriedI think Penn State is overvaluing who they can get. I think they will end up with Plan C or worse.
It sounds like Rhule will recommend Fran (unless he is just creating cover for his own move). Not sure how the heck they would sell that. Hey we are throwing away $50M to get rid of Franklin to go hire another recruiter who just went 4-8. So I don't think Fran even gets an interview.
IMO the next Penn State HC will be there only 3-4 years. They are going to be setup to fail. Fran is probably better off being the HC after this next one is gone.
He’s not Just stop it. I try to avoid making categorical statements but there is no way they fired a guy with Franklin’s record for Fran Brown.Fran is defnitely in the mix for Penn St. They would get Brown, Angeli, Calvin Russel, and Nixon maybe, plus keep a lot of their recruits. I hope its not true but seems like a possibility.
I'd think less of him if he even interviewed. It would mean a lot of what he's said since the beginning of coming to Syracuse just wasn't true. It may not be on the level of it being his "dream job" like Doug Marrone, but it would up there with it. If he interviews and doesn't get the job then it means it's just a matter of time, maybe a short time, before he gets another one. It would be greatly disappointing.Fran is defnitely in the mix for Penn St. They would get Brown, Angeli, Calvin Russel, and Nixon maybe, plus keep a lot of their recruits. I wouldn't.I'd think less of him if he even interviewed. It would mean a lot of what he's said since the beginning of coming to Syracuse just wasn't true. what a beauty. WOWFran is defnitely in the mix for Penn St. They would get Brown, Angeli, Calvin Russel, and Nixon maybe, plus keep a lot of their recruits. I hope its not true but seems like a possibility.
In the end Doug Marrone made the correct choice. He went NFL and has had success there similar to Syracuse while not dealing with boosters. I think College Coaching (Head Coaching) is a crazy profession. Burnout will be huge and no more than 5-6 years at any school that is a contender. Matt Patricia is at Ohio State as a Defensive Coach/Coordinator. If you want coaching, do HC, then NFL HC and come back to College as an assistant and truly enjoy coaching without having the headaches while collecting a big paycheck. Just like in Baseball, HC is hired to be fired. Players now rule.I'd think less of him if he even interviewed. The situation here at the end of 23 is light years away from the situation at PSU now. Talent acquisition is not a problem for them. What skills does he bring to the table that were lacking?

They’re paying him $50M to fvk off, he better be on his hands and knees thanking Penn StateThis could be Must See TV depending on how much Franklin wants to dish
In the last decade Penn State has 2 top 10 recruiting classes. Every other class was ranked 12-21.He’s not Just stop it. I try to avoid making categorical statements but there is no way they fired a guy with Franklin’s record for Fran Brown.

Ace Frehley has a better chance of being selected to play the 2026 superbowl halftime show.

Call me crazy but Fran would elevate their recruiting to a level they've never seen in the modern era. He has our current class at #26. At Syracuse
I hope they don't consider him but I think they'd be stupid not to
It’s a job, not a personal relationship.I'd think less of him if he even interviewed. It would mean a lot of what he's said since the beginning of coming to Syracuse just wasn't true. Ok, and so what. The guy beat Miami last year and Clemson this year.
I have to assume that along with the $50M kiss-off, a finely crafted NDA (or whatever you call it in this circumstance) also exists. This could be Must See TV depending on how much Franklin wants to dish
Plus, this is James Franklin we're talking about. You expect him to do the classy thing, right?I have to assume that along with the $50M kiss-off, a finely crafted NDA (or whatever you call it in this circumstance) also exists.
