Team was 1-3 and coming off the ugliest loss of the year ( at Minnesota).
Big East opener for us. We had been horrid in Big East play and against Pitt.
Team gets ahead early, doesn't score in the second half, and somehow holds onto to win.
That game was so crucial for us. If Pitt scores one more time it's another BE loss and I really think the program starts to unravel a bit. Marrone was under a ton of fire. And then to see today. Just crazy how close we came to maybe going in the opposite direction as a program.
