The Athletic was asked to access the impact on NIL on the Florida schools:
"I tend to think money plays only a slight factor if what is offered by the schools is relatively equal. So, they’ll make their choices based on things like playing time, history of development with regard to the NFL, as well as day-to-day relationships with their position coaches and coordinators. NIL gets you in the game or knocks you out of it if it’s nonexistent."
It's also interesting that UCF and USF, who I'd always seen as sort of twins, have gone off in very different directions. Is the Big 12 going to still be a "Power 5" conference?
If the big powers get their "rapture" into two super-conferences, the deck will get shuffled again.
State of Florida recruiting mailbag: Which program has the best collective?
Can Florida State sign a top-five class? Which Florida school has the biggest presence recruiting in California?
