a Sim on steroids. Would be fun to play it. not sure how much TV ratings it will draw.

Would love that shot clock in our summer league though

Watched it and was pleasantly surprised. Felt like the facility and technology were the highlight, plus the pace of play. Liked how they built some super creative sim holes. Would LOVE to play it.

Felt like the broadcast lost a little steam in the second hour. No need for an intermission moving forward but probably will keep it for sponsor commercials etc. As I told a buddy of mine this morning-, I definitely wouldn’t skip a round of golf to watch TGL, but for a Tuesday night in January it made for a good watch.

the time clock was interesting. But they still didnt even finish thematch in the 2hrs at the pace they were going.

i would love a 40 sec timer to throw on the opp in league in those early days when time is limited.

game 2 tonight. Tiger says he is playing so we shall see

Jupiter big dogs though for those who want to make a bet.

The next match better be competitive. The first two have been blowouts. A match that comes down to the last singles would be really exciting. They need a viral moment, at least better than a laser beam out of the bunker that hit the flag stick. The holes are really interesting and a bit strange. I like when they show the data (club speed, ball speed, carry...), but they should make it more prominent during drives in real time, in my opinion. It gives the average watcher numbers to compare. Just my quick thoughts.

when you see pros struggle to control distance in the sim you start to see the same things the avg person does when the play on these things.

They need to fix the greens part of the sim. the balls stick too much and the putting while cool looks like the same putts over and over.

I saw a video on Instagram about the simulations the TLS is using.

The guy doing it said they are using a low end one that is not accurate. If I remember right, he said it was doppler based and would routinely be off by 10% on all shots. This is why the pros are struggling to hit greens from the fairways.

He said the best ones for indoor simulations are camera based and they need to switch to one of those. TGL uses the the Full Swing launch monitor apparently because Tiger signed an agreement with them years ago.

Don't know if this is true but I thought it was interesting.

TGL playoff semi was the first time all season that it felt like an event.

The finals being a best of 3 thing is interesting.

I still think the sim courses are far too easy. Just too wide open and they are set up with no trouble. The hardest part on playing a sim is the recovery shots. Its like trees dont exist. And the rough is barely an issue anyway unlike a sim where its a big deal.

I wonder why they pumped so much money into this and didnt make the lie part dynamic as well? Seems like slope would have been an easy thing to adjust

The real putting is nice, but again its not real life. They made a big deal about the green being dynamic but thats not how its played out. Its the same putts over and over.
