I don't really read where he said pack it in. Read more to me that we have to get over our Uconn infatuation/, jealousy in terms of basketball. We don't breathe their air in basketball, and probably never will. Is our athletic future in a better spot? Definitely. Is our hoops program ever going to touch their accomplishments? Never. With all due respect, this is a moronic post. There are major changes coming to college sports. Schools will either be on the inside or they will be on the outside. In all sports. If you think that the SEC and the Big 10 are going to let success go to schools not in major conferences, I think you are mistaken. Football is just the start. Now, will we get a seat at the big boy table, that is an open question. That is why it is imperative for Fran Brown to keep the success of football going. Basketball has already been shown how important it is. No major conference has wanted UConn. They had to go back to the Big East hat in hand. Next year, the Orange will have more money to spend on hoop than we have had. Can Red make the most of that? Don't know. But to pack in the future is as I said, moronic.
My thing is that nobody on this board ever says we are on UConn’s level anymore. The opposite happens - people jump into this thread to remind everyone that we aren’t - which is tired and obvious. We should just stop discussing them entirely and focus on our program.I don't really read where he said pack it in. I agree 1000 percent that we should move on. That said the poster who said it last got a ton of sharpnel. My thing is that nobody on this board ever says we are on UConn’s level anymore. Made a little change.I admittedly am being a hypocrite right now because I've always said, if you don't like a thread just ignore it.
But God I wishthis threadUConn could just evaporate from the universe.
It’s even worse…he said something to the effect of “don’t turn your back on me, I’m the best fffffing coach in the game.”This guy is insufferable
Dan Hurley files a complaint against I’m not sure who, regarding how often he is shown on broadcasts. Here is his laughable claim.
"I just wish they put the camera on the other coach more," he said. "... I just wish they would show these other coaches losing their minds at the officials in other Big East games that I'm coaching where ... I'm not talking to officials; I see the other coaches as demonstrative as I am.“
No, he’s the biggest duushbag in the sport!
I mean he’s not wrong about being the best coach in the sport right now. But that would be bad broadcasting to miss him out there acting like Ben Stiller’s character in the Dodgeball movie. This guy is insufferable
