the wisconsin kid now flipped

He wants to compete with Ohio St but won't pay $100 for season tickets, there are thousands of them like that in Syracuse. As I say to all my buddies, much like this. Have you written a check? Support the program and then you can bitch. Clowns
actually I don't want to compete with Ohio St. That is unrealistic and that day will never come. Just want 6 wins and a Bowl every year. I want to compete with the Georgia Tech's of the world...lol.

I go to every game (maybe miss 1 per year). Don't know what that has to do with anything. I wrote more than my fair share of checks. Had season tickets for 30 years that cost far more than $100 believe me. When I tried moving and asking questions a couple years back I was treated rudely by the Dome and SU to the point it was one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. That's on them. Now I spend less money buying tickets off the street or getting freebies and I still go to ALL the games and have better seats...win-win for me!

You know, I cant argue with your last paragraph. The customer service throughout the orange club, season tickets, athletic department, is one of the worst in any business I have ever encountered. I feel like they are outsourcing it to India when I get on the phone with some of these numbskulls, I would rather call Comcast with a cable problem than call the University with a seating question. YOU ARE 100% right there.

ditto, have been treated like their doing me a huge favor by letting me buy season tickets

It sucks for SU being on the other side of the flip, but I don't blame the kid. If your dream was to go to "BCS home state U" and you don't get an offer, lock up your second choice. If your dream school doesn't come through, you have a spot. If they do eventually offer you, then you can de-commit from your backup school. When coaches can up and leave whenever they want I've got no problem with players working the system. The way to solve this is to have an early signing period like they do in hoops.

Beau had an offer from I think Iowa that he didn't pull the trigger on. Iowa then pulled his offer after someone else committed. He tweeted that he hadn't realized that offers had time limits. Then Syracuse offered and Beau jumped on the first plane to take an unofficial visit and then committed. I can't blame him for being concerned that he might miss out again if he didn't commit right away. The one that bothers me more is Cabinda, and it seems to bother the other recruits too. I think they thought they had developed a bond with him and that he would stick with his commitment.

The University certainly plays a role in this mess as well, when I went to write my check to the Orange Club which I always steer towards football, I had a few questions that needed answering, never got the answers, never wrote the check... Makes sense to me

I still have the preferred A tickets but come on!!!! What

I just don't understand why they can't fix these problems...a competent manager / AD would never let this happen. We're not a huge program that has the luxury of pissing potential/current customers off and losing donations. It's really amazing some of the boneheaded decisions they make.
