Things are really getting bad over at the Jersey Shore

Wonder if our staff is on contact with highly rated commits to Rutgers, Illinois, and Virginia - all three might be head coach-less by the end of the season.

Rutgers implosion is a sight to behold though.

In this years class I dont Rutgers has any highly rated commits to be honest. Maybe 1 or 2, most of there guys have zero other offers or they beat out Monmouth and Stony Brook.

That...is...AWESOME! Two callouts for fights, many challenging the intelligence of the recruit, one calling him a cry-baby, the list goes on.

From it also spawned another topic requesting that their free board be shut down during the off-season. LMAO!

Wow, even GRob's tenure didn't feature all that. Don't know if that feeling in my gut is pity or schadenfreude.

Yes, we will probably be hiring a new head coach at the end of the season. The likelihood is that he will be a better X's and O's coach who will get more from our present lineup and be able to keep the present recruiting pipelines open following-up on the superb job London did in repairing the damage and re-opening them.

We've been through a recruiting cycle with a new coach trying to hold onto recruits. Not fun.

"Likelihood" is a funny word. "Hope" is a better word. For the conference's sake I hope you guys can get a coach that fits and can take you to the next level. At the very least - a coach that will smack down Vtech and Miami a bit for us ;).

That's some bad stuff over there. Besides what's been said above there's a poster giving out their home address challenging someone to come over and say things to his face. Wow.

We know people here get upset when there is a post deleted, a thread locked or deleted, or someone gets banned for a couple days or longer, but that thread over there and even their whole board now, is what we try to avoid and how things can really spin out of control.

Maybe it seems like the admins/mods come down too hard here, but we'd rather err on the side of being too cautious vs. having a free for all. It's a tough call sometimes and there are gray areas.

The mods over there should all be canned for letting a couple of those threads to continue to the point they have gotten too. My 2 cents.

I can't open the link so maybe its shut down. But I found these gems on the regular Rivals Rutgers football forum:

"The way I see it, we have great shot at 6-0 going into the 2nd half of the schedule" We are the Big Dogs in all of the first 6 matchups. Penn State and Michigan have to come to our house. They have to come through Rutgers and our tradition."

In response to whether making a bowl game out of the Big East was a major accomplishment..."I do, not only did we have to go through a top 10 OOC every year, we had to make sure we win at least 1 or 2 games in the premier power conference in the nation, hard to find another program with this level of track record." (I checked, as I suspected they played ZERO OOC games against a ranked team since 2005)

And then there is this poster's tagline:

"RUTGERS FOOTBALL | NATIONAL CHAMPIONS : 1869, 1961, 1976"

Just for giggles I pulled up Rutgers 1976 schedule. Yep they did go undefeated. They beat: Navy, Bucknell, Princeton, Cornell, Connecticut, Lehigh, Columbia, UMass, Louisvill, Tulane, and Colgate. Heck that's a schedule Shady would have been proud of. That was also 10 years before Howard Schnellenberger went to Louisville to build their program. They finished ranked #17 that year.

That's bad news. So much actual trolling someone could do with that.

Check out their 1961 team... four Ivy League teams and five teams that weren't playing major college football.

That's a new level of delusion right there.

They have to come through Rutgers and our tradition."
Just hold you nose boys.
Who, day and night, must scramble for a cupcake
Feed the bloated budget
Say the desperate prayers
And who has the right as meekest of the mouse
To lay a whopping turd at home
THE RUTGERS!
