Things I want to see today

I’m not feeling very good about a win, but in a season like this I can live with progress.I especially want to se progress in Gilbert/Dino on offense.

I want to see:

-Another reverse of some kind
-Something other than a middle run on 3rd and short
-8 targets to the tight ends
- read options where the QBs keeps the ball
-a scripted series for Jacobian ( or 2 or 3)
-a wide receiver screen with Hendrix and Queeley blocking
- wide tosses to the RB to be able to turn the corner or cut back
-out and up with a pump fake if the corners are tight (stole that from Tomcat)

It is up to Gilbert to script a game plan that Rex can handle. It should be clear that Rex is not capable of running the whole offense and he needs something he can handle. It is up to Gilbert to put him in a position to succeed.

When I look at replay Rex is the opposite of the criticism that D gets - he gets rid of the ball too quickly and fails to see what is really happening.

Outside zone runs seem to working better and I expect to see more plays off of this and misdirection. Of course, receivers need to stop dropping catchable balls.

Wake is not that good. If we tie the turnover margin we can win.
