We were down 28-7 about 2 minutes into the 2nd quarter after the second of Tommy's turnovers. Like I said, there were 3 quarters of garbage time.
Look, I already said the lines were awful. They were most at fault for the loss, and the secondary was poor in coverage.
But Tommy didn't make plays until the game was out of hand.
And saying that he threw it away seven times does not prove he had a good game. Those are 7 first downs that we didn't pick up. Those are drives that ended. Now, sometimes it's because of coverage, but sometimes it's because maybe the QB misses the opening or makes the wrong read. These things happen.
As I said to the other guy - not to you directly; you felt the need to chime in - Tommy wasn't "fine". When the game was in doubt, he didn't play that well.
After the game was out of reach and we were throwing to the backs to mitigate the effect of the rush, then he hit a bunch of throws in a row, and made his stats look better than the outcome of the game. If I told you before the game that Tommy was going to go 28-39, you would have thought we were winning that game, wouldn't you?
Peace out, Dad.
