This is what happens when you don’t evolve

I have no doubt JB has the mental fortitude to be a high D1 coach. Unfortunately, he has refused to evolve and now needs to be removed.

-2-3 zone - not a good defense for current style of basketball. Can’t let guys shoot threes from a stand still. There’s a reason no one else plays it.
-transfer portal - him choosing this group of freshman over the 8 or 9 transfers that allegedly wanted to play for us is moronic. Were still in the age of the 5 year player. Why did he not take advantage?
-NIL - openly blasting paying players? Guess what its legal. You should be bragging about how much money his players get not that they “only get $20k”. What a moron for saying those things.

If you aren’t going to change with the times, then you deserve to lose.

It’s not that he’s refused to evolve but rather he’s incapable of evolving. He’s an extremely stubborn guy. Stubbornness and evolution are opposing forces.

It’s also what happens when you are surrounded by yes men/women and his family/friends protect from the reality of situation.

Jim literally thinks the majority of Syracuse fans wants him to be the coach still. 95 percent or something like that, right?

The clichés are endless. And They are true, “adapt, or die.”, “Who moved my cheese”, etc.

Sometimes people’s circumstances and some situations just simply don’t allow for the changes/adaptations to occur (Financial reasons or whatever), but that is not the case here to say the least.

This scenario is simply one’s human nature, not allowing for that evolution to occur, simple as that, this with respect to both on the on the court issues, as well as being unable to address the needs of today’s younger generation of players, all these coaches now have to be as much psychologist as well as coach.

That is simply not in his wheelhouse of abilities, and has contributed to the current situation, and in fact has contributed to the declining success for years now.
