This thread pretty much sums up Yukon basketball

One could easily argue that even though Cuse has a much more storied sports history than Yukon, if you consider the size of Syracuse's market, we could be in the same boat as the Huskies. I think every Syracuse fan should be thanking Dr. Daryl Gross and his "Orange in the Apple" and "New York's college team" campaigns. People want to complain about playing a home game in the Meadowlands, but those are the things that have elevated the Syracuse brand. Other people have talked about perception vs reality, but Syracuse has elevated it's name greatly since they were rejected the first time around.
SU wasn't rejected. It was pushed out politically. UVa had enough juice to force RPI to be taken over SU.
 
I have family that are Huskies. I'm hoping they get a call.
Its fascinating how even with fluidity of the situation, some are already throwing dirt on the UConn program, just like they did Rutgers a coupla wks ago. They could still end up in a better situation than us...just sayin'.
