(if a tradition can be new)

The first two are in place and developing nicely. On TV I noticed the student section waving two hands of four fingers - the 44 wave. Nice.

The train whistle thing I like. There's a lot more they can do with it though. Roaring engine circling the ribbon board for instance (as someone here suggested). And I think they can improve on the little cardboard train (come on).

Here is a third. Sometime between the coin toss and the kick off you have the sound of a creaking metal door slowly closing followed by a thunderous closing of the door.

em up em up Go SU!

Like them all especially your third one.

One other "tradition" I would like to see tweaked/ discontinued occurs right before the team takes the field. It's just before the game, the band has played, the intro video has just played, the crowd is on its feet fired up ready for next big thing to happen.

Then here comes Otto riding out on a golf cart to the collective yawn of the home crowd...not quite the same effect as the FSU Seminole riding out on a horse and throwing down a spear at mid field.

Easily fixed. Give Otto a spear and have him attack the opposing mascot. Have him drop the spear like a guy would drop a mic to get off stage. Then play the doors creaking shut and the lock sound.

Dcuse and I started touching the left cleat of Ernie Davis on the way in to the Dome a few years ago......we noticed recently alot of folks are touching Ernie on the way in......thought it was kind of cool.

Got get that golf cart decked out to look like a train.

I like three but you need to hear the door lock

So Im not the only one that detours to the ernie statue. Perhaps we should adorn the base of his statue with orange flowers or something everygame?

The touching the (at the time just a gleam in a few of our eyes) statue - About 10 years ago I suggested a tradition of touching the statue for good luck on the way into the Dome. A couple of years ago when I actually saw people doing just that - I kind of lost it.

I want an offsides counter hanging some place and ppl waving 12th man flags. I dont mind stealing other traditions 8ts just who uses them better

Yep me too.

You know how some NFL teams run out of the inflatable helmets... let's get one shaped like a locomotive, whistle and steam, the whole bit, for when we take the field.

I'll start the down payment on one.

Yes I'm drunk... 12 more days of Clemson pregaming... LGO

3$ beers would be a new tradition I would like to see

I'll gladly keep paying full price if they agree to sell them thru the end of the 3rd quarter. They can have my keys if they want them. The next time I hop into a car after a football game in the Dome will be the first time.

I lead our tailgating group on a run up to the statute with a jump to touch his helmet pre game and a let's go orange.

When we win he gets a "good game Ernie" slap.
