Our coaching staff is seriously trying to copy UCLA's offense? Really? Did anyone watch UCLA against Virginia? Throw that offense away right now!!

Sure. Syracuse executed better. But we were playing freaking Villanova! UCLA only has a decent showing because they scored 3 defensive touchdowns!

This offense will be an exercise in futility. Stop it right now! Don't get me started on the offensive line. That's what you get when you hire a defensive line coach to coach offensive line. Makes PERFECT sense.

If we start our backup QB every game we will have a problem.

Hunt had the team marching when he went Rocky on that dude. 17 points and the ball to start the 3rd with him getting into the flow would've been ballgame. For all the shake their QB brought, it was for 10 offensive points in 60 minutes.

The offensive scheme was hindered by Hunt playing half the game and the OL missing two key starters. RELAX! It was one game, stop being so dramatic, take a step back and actually analyze the facts of the game. The bubble screens are there to spread the defense and build confidence for the QB in a low-risk fashion. Hunt showed that he can throw the ball down the field before the ejection, that would have allowed the offense to open up, including the run game.

Don't disagree that Hunt was making a difference and would have continued to do so had he remained in the game. But, I also think that this offense needs an early season re-think similar to what Hackett & Marrone did their last season here. This thing isn't going to work.

Exactly, in addition, who knew we might struggle replacing Macky, Spruill, and Broms. we just don't reload, we also had two starters out on o line. Nick R is an absolute road grader at guard which will help run game big time. Breathe, breathe.

We know GMC isn't the second coming of Chip Kelly but the offense will get better, we will never be explosive and our biggest asset on offense is the running qb who got tossed

its also hard to know how often the QB made the correct reads. you could see people open down the middle several times and they still threw wide. for all we know the qb made the wrong read and the play should have gone someplace else.

I agree - get rid of this scheme. We don't have the Oregon team speed to run screens and bubbles every play. We should be copying the Nova scheme. I want to see ameenmoore run it up the middle, ptg/Morris/McFarlane run it off tackle, hunt roll it out sometimes and have read options and throw pop passes to our guys in the middle. We can run screens to estime, but he has to go deep occionally too. Our bubble screens need to be to the short side of the field bc it takes too long to sling it across the field
