ticket sales

were the vols fans about 3K-5K of that number?

I thought I remembered hearing they were around 7k. They asked for 10k tickets.

There were a lot of ND fans in 2003. I recall that game not actually being a sell out though. 48k not 49k.

Not sure why they never have an "orange out". Work something out with Manny's and have 45k orange shirts on the seats.

You're not gonna like my post in the other thread.

49+ for those miami games over the 10 yr run. same with VT.

88-2000 we had some really great crowds. be nice just to get to 45K again and not have them been 10K PSU fans.

So I was there for the 4 McNabb years, and I can attest, those last 2 Dome games in 98, V Tech and Miami, were ing ridiculously packed.

Looking the wiki, really, attendance was great all season. Only game that wasnt near capacity was Rutgers at 42 and change...others were all crazy. 49.5k for that epic TN game we lost, 47K, 49.5K, etc...

That was so much fun.

As an aside...98 was such a weird season. Every time it looked like we were definitely elite we lost. Every time it looked like we definitely werent elite, we won...

Go into NC State 6-1 and I think there will be over 40k. In 2014's 3-9 season we averaged 40k. We're not that far removed, and there will definitely be some hype around the team... My hope is that we break the 42,500 for Clemson, last year.

Uusually where you see large sections of unavailable seats in the upper deck ,they haven't been opened up yet. When you see rows of available seats start popping up way high it is a good sign tickets are moving.

Good to know!

I wish they would open up all the sections. I would much prefer the look of 40K spread out around the upper deck than the look of massive chunks of silver. I know it wouldnt be completely even, but there def would be people who would choose to get seats where they could spread out up there.

yep, probably didn't help scheduling Michigan, Tennessee and NC State out of conference. our moronic OOC scheduling has a long and fine history, thankfully it looks to be coming to an end.

Our last truly major crowd was Clemson in 2013... 48,961. That's only a couple hundred people short of sellout.

Unfortunately that game was over at the end of the first quarter.

I know road games are tougher, but NC State(again!?) and WVU after beating them by 30 the previous year...we should’ve beaten those teams.

Pretty crazy that we went to Michigan and NC State and played Tennessee home in the nonconference.

Polar opposite of Beamer's creampuff strategy, but it worked for them.

We also counted attendance differently.

We’ve since moved to a more conservative definition of attendance (ticketed fans vs people in the building vs tickets sold vs tickets sold + non-ticketed people in the building).

That change caused a huge attendance “drop” one year.

You will never ever ever ever see full availability if you look at an online map

Agree, love the idea, but this needs to be announced and developed from day 1 of the season. Also, shirts must be free at the gate.

Huge winter storm kept some away from the ass kicking Walter Reyes (rip) gave.

The SU marketing team is doing GREAT ahead of North Carolina.

T
Or give them to the first X amount that walk into the Dome. Get those fannies in their seats as early as possible.
To the ones that go in before kickoff.

If we lose today there is no sense of worrying about attendance. Die hard s like us will be the only ones in the dome the rest of the season.

Maybe Dino should have waited until the conclusion of the Pitt game before telling the casual fans they need to support this team.

I have faith we will still win this game. I agree though, dino jumped the gun there.

any chance of the casuals showing up the rest of the year
