I could really see GMac being able to develop Fennell. He has some really good tools and potential.

Agreed and i brought him up a couple times mid year as I don’t get it in terms of how Red handled him. Only logical conclusion I can find is that either he was nagged by injury or the fact he is a combo guard who isn’t all about pounding the rock and creating off the bounce and is better suited to an offense that is more fundamentally sound basketball working off screens and only attacking when it’s the appropriate time.

We talk about wanting the overseas kids and a kid like Luke who has legit size, a nice shot and a solid understanding of the game fits that bill. To me he’s exactly the cost effective option to bring back vs going hunting for his replacement.

You don’t play as well in that euro tournament and just all the sudden lose your game…

If he had been given 10 mins or more of run for the first 5-7 games consistently I think you see a kid that shows more than JJ in what he can bring to a team

It is possible. But it is just as likely that the two of them break into fisticuffs at some point. I could see Gerry pushing him really hard and George losing it. And maybe this would be a good thing. (I have no factual basis for this random opinion.)

Why would you say that? I’ve never seen any propensity for that from him. Have you?
