i dont think boeheim will give a -- im sure he told same thing to dion's face-- dion should give boeheim 10% of all his NBA earnings-- Boeheim might have made him a very wealthy young man

This was why so many people (myself included) said that he wasn't going to come back. I gotta say that I was pretty flabbergasted that JB let him come back. But I'm also very glad, because he's been great.

Dion has owned up to most of that, so it seems like he's very much aware of how close he was. The announcers essentially say the same thing Welsh did every other game without attributing a quote directly to JB. Not really shocking to hear that from Welsh.
