To all the beer drinkers out there

Very interesting. The variable that is missing though is the taste of your lips on a can vs a bottle. That may account for people usually saying bottled is better. They obviously had to pour the beer in cups for the test. Of course they both taste the same in cups. I don't think anyone has ever thought otherwise

but when it comes to vodka I like the cheap stuff because I can taste what I am drinking...the good stuff is way too smooth for me;)

as for beer, I can't remember the last time I threw away a can or bottle half full of any brand

As a non-resident of the CNY area am I allowed to have an opinion on this? Gotta say bottled beer ... love Sam Adams in a bottle ... can't do cans.

No preference, but I always drink it in a glass. Aroma is such an important part of taste, you can't smell all the subtleties through the tiny holes of a bottle or can. Nobody would ever drink fine wine from a bottle, I don't see why the rules should be different for a quality craft beer.

Right and anything in a can is going to be garbage anyways pretty much. Some craft guys are starting to use cans...very few though.

My spouse lets me drink as many as I want as long as they are 99 calories or less...she says if she has to look at me naked...nuff said...

Some on here can't click on anything from Syracuse.com, I can't from the Huffpost. That being said, I think I get the gist of the article from the responses. As long as the beer is cold, I'll drink it! :)

Agreed, but they're talking about that mass produced medicated piss water most people drink and not a finely crafted microbrew.

Can. Cans get colder faster, you can fit more in your golf bag (or fridge for that matter) and the can protects the beer from going all skunky due to UV rays.

Quality AND quantity in one! Don't get me wrong, I usually drink bottled at the bar if they don't have something interesting on tap (plus most bars don't have cans) but the can has more pros. Also, I always get the aluminum bottles at a stadium that carries them.

BTW...plastic bottles SUCK for beer. Dumb idea.

If nothing else, this thread has proven definitively, in public, once and for all that PeteCalvin likes it "in the can." Which I've known for almost a quarter of a century now.

I drank that at camp last night

A lot of solid craft beers are in cans now like Oskar Blues, Avery, and some others. I still prefer bottle if I'm not pouring it but the best option is still poured into a glass, chalice, etc to get the best flavor and aroma.
