No preference, but I always drink it in a glass. Aroma is such an important part of taste, you can't smell all the subtleties through the tiny holes of a bottle or can. Nobody would ever drink fine wine from a bottle, I don't see why the rules should be different for a quality craft beer.
Agreed, but they're talking about that mass produced medicated piss water most people drink and not a finely crafted microbrew. No preference, but I always drink it in a glass. Sez the guy with cans 0f Schaefer for an avatar.bottle - end of discussion
I had a UC at the tailgate on Saturday...very underrated beer.I say canned, only because thats the only way you can buy UC anymore.
Can. Cans get colder faster, you can fit more in your golf bag (or fridge for that matter) and the can protects the beer from going all skunky due to UV rays.
Quality AND quantity in one! Don't get me wrong, I usually drink bottled at the bar if they don't have something interesting on tap (plus most bars don't have cans) but the can has more pros. Also, I always get the aluminum bottles at a stadium that carries them.
BTW...plastic bottles SUCK for beer. Dumb idea.
If nothing else, this thread has proven definitively, in public, once and for all that PeteCalvin likes it in the can. Which I've known for almost a quarter of a century now.
Not true!!I say canned, only because thats the only way you can buy UC anymore.
A lot of solid craft beers are in cans now like Oskar Blues, Avery, and some others. I still prefer bottle if I'm not pouring it but the best option is still poured into a glass, chalice, etc to get the best flavor and aroma.
I love UC and UC lightI had a UC at the tailgate on Saturday...very underrated beer.
The best vessell? Christ almighty. This isnt wine. There are lots of craft beers in cans now. It is the best vessel for beer freshness. But the best vessel to drink a beer from is the proper glass for that particular style of beer. Cheers!
