I love a good micro brew as much as the next guy but this isnt wine with matching glasses depending on flavor. If thats all you are drinking then turn in your man card at the door

See thats the thing. Id rather drink 15 miller lights than 5 IPA's. Same goes for chicken wings. It cracks me up when these guys pound their chest when they eat 9 atomic super hot burn your chest wings. Id rather eat 40 mild wings.

Second, as a purist, it makes me cringe when anyone calls Budweiser beer, because it is not. Beer is made from barley not 30% rice. Remember the Olympics in Berlin? Well it wassponsered by Bud for a reason, because they couldn't call it beer. That would be illegal.

Yep. I like to say most men can only handle two of my beers. Of course that is 13.2% Dubbels in 750mL bottles. That is like 8 PBRs marsh.

Another important variable is temperature. Most Ales, at least in my opinion, should not be cold. Room temperature is a bit warm though, "cellar temp" is good; somewhere in the 50s. An IPA is similar to a fine red wine, never drink it ice cold.

Wegmans has seriously upgraded their beer selection. I also will hit the old Party Source on the boulevard if I am around there. Brilbecks I pass every day so I hit that place too. So much beer so little time.

For anyone who hasn't tried it, Sierra Nevada Flipside Red IPA is downright amazing.

A couple of things.

I love all beer. If you are drinking only micro brews shame on you. I actually love the taste of cheap ass beers.

Secondly (and this drives me crazy) the whole hot food phenomenon is pathetic. Give me a break. I dont want to be in pain when I eat. I want to enjoy my food and eat as much as possible. Eating 8 super hot weak ass wings doesnt do it for me. Give me 2 dozen crispy as hell wings with some some blue cheese and I am in paradise. Probably why I still hold the ground round record for most chicken wings ever eaten in one sitting (and mcd's cheeseburgers too).

I'm with you on wings but not beer. Now granted, there are only a handfull of beers I might turn down (steel reserve), but I'd rather have 5 mid level IPA's (sierra nevada, etc.) vs 15 miller lites. Everytime I read 15 miller lites in this thread it makes me have to go take a 3 minute p*ss. That is the main issue with beers you can throw down at 3 or 4 per hour.
