To all the beer drinkers out there

A couple of things.

I love all beer. If you are drinking only micro brews shame on you. I actually love the taste of cheap ass beers.

Secondly (and this drives me crazy) the whole hot food phenomenon is pathetic. Give me a break. I dont want to be in pain when I eat. I want to enjoy my food and eat as much as possible. Eating 8 super hot weak ass wings doesnt do it for me. Give me 2 dozen crispy as hell wings with some some blue cheese and I am in paradise. Probably why I still hold the ground round record for most chicken wings ever eaten in one sitting (and mcd's cheeseburgers too).

I don't get the whole blue cheese thing, blue cheese dressing is for salad not wings. Don't get me wrong, I will drink cheap ass beer, especially free cheap ass beer lol, but i'm not gonna buy a sixer of Plabst when I get can get some Torpedo. Beer should have flavor. As for the atomic wings, I only do that at wing fest or something just to see what people have. Give me NFL sunday and I want 30 Hot extra crispy!! Atomic 911 fire extinguisher? No regular plain old hot, Anchor Bar original style. And don't give me any Parmesan Oriental Green Onion Happy sauce wings either. Buffalo style hot extra crispy, so maybe we aren't as far apart as we originally thought. Mild though? At least get medium, my 5 year old can tackle those.

Issues with the acid reflux so mild is my choice. Again I will eat chicken wings plain without sauce as I just love chicken.

I thought the same thing with Blue Cheese and never ate it all throughout college. Then I tried it and cant do wings without it.

It isnt about spending money on cheap beer vs expensive beer. I actually love the taste of cheap beer and will gladly buy it. On the flip side I will pay money for better beer.

I'm with you on wings but not beer. Now granted, there are only a handfull of beers I might turn down (steel reserve), but I'd rather have 5 mid level IPA's (sierra nevada, etc.) vs 15 miller lites. Everytime I read 15 miller lites in this thread it makes me have to go take a 3 minute p*ss. That is the main issue with beers you can throw down at 3 or 4 per hour.

I get tired of too many IPA's. On the flip side I could drink 20 pints of guiness in one sitting and not get tired of the taste.

I still love Guinness and go to Yuengling Porter as a cheaper/bland alternative for session beers. I prefer stouts, porters and dark belgians but similar to IPA's I can't just crank on them non stop. Usually I roll IPA/Dark/seasonal/IPA/dark with a lite beer or 2 scattered in the progression at some point. I am, however, rediculously excited to try UC as a lite/cheap beer thanks to this board as I have never had it.

This is why I love Saranac Trail mixes. Some reg Pale Ale, some White IPA, maybe a Rye IPA, some Adirondak Lager, a little Black Forest...enough difference that I don't feel like my tongue is wearing out.

Never had a UC? Damn. YL Porter is not a cheap bland alternate. I loooove Porter.

I dont get the whole IPA phenomenon. I dont mind a couple but its way down the list on beers I prefer.

Love Black Forest. The old Clark's Ale House had a quasi Black Forest on tap. Prior Dark. Very good and it was my go too beer whenever I went there.

IPA's are about hops and aroma, I can't explain it but it's damn good, has higher ABV so I get a buzz on pretty quick, and I've gotten to a point where I can put them down almost as quick a can of Miller Lite. It started for me with Towpath brewery(RIP). I can't drink as many that is true but with the higher ABV then I don't have to. I shouldn't pretend to be such a beer snob cause as much as I love my IPA's, here is a typical conversation with a bartender.

"Do you have any IPA's or Pale Ale?"
"No"
"How about Sam Adams"
"Sorry no"
"Ok just give me a Bud"

Yea I'm not a big hoppy beer guy. Too bitter for my taste buds. I will drink it but I prefer other options. ABV means nothing to me as I dont drink beer for the buzz.

Y Porter is way cheap and a bit more bland compared to Guinness. Def a better buy for the money IMO.

I'm not a hop head so I get what you're saying with IPA's but there are some that are melt your mouth good and some that are just so rediculous you have to try once.

How easy is it to find Y Porter in NY? Can't imagine it's a prevalent as Y Lager. If you want, I'll trade you case for case of Y porter for UC.

Hell they sell Porter everywhere in Syracuse

. They don't sell UC in southern Pennsy so was worth a shot. You tailgate in skytop?

I dont. I usually go to the games with my father who isnt a tailgate guy at all so I get there 45 minutes prior to kickoff. It is what it is.

Summer is my least favorite beer season but then again pitch black beers aren't as tasty when it's 90 degrees out.

20 pints of Guiness is like 9000 calories you know.

I would not suggest it. But I get what you mean, I however am much more of an Old Rasputin guy.
