Dream job.OL coach?
Good God no, his time has passed.Giants should rehire him as their HC.
Also Douglas will be gone in 2 games now.
I got out my 2012 SU media guide and looked at the page on Coach Marrone. It showed a picture of him with his wife and three children. The article didn't identify the ages of the kids but they appeared to be about ages 4-7 or something close to that. Dug had a chance to raise those kids in one place until they were adults by staying here and helping us into the transition to the ACC. As a successful alumnus coach, he could have a spent the rest of his career here if he wanted to. (And I think he would have been a good enough coach make us at least a respectable ACC program and at least an occasional contender in our difficult division.)
Instead he shuffled off to Buffalo, then walked away form that job too, thinking he had the jets job in hand. he got a line coach job in Jacksonville and eventually the head job. Now he's about to lost that. I wonder what his wife and family think about having to move again.
The millions of dollars he got from those jobs might help, but maybe money isn't an important thing to him and his family.

You are so wrong about Shad Khan lolSucks for Tom. He is an OUTSTANDING human being. The charity work he does is over the top. As a member of this SU Football community and a CNY native, can’t help but feel for Tom. He has so many opportunities to expand his philanthropic ways. I’d love for him to get a “consultant” role with Dino. Would be awesome to have his wisdom into our fold.
The GMen should’ve never fired the guy. It’s been nothing but a raging dumpster fire since he got canned.
Lastly, the Jags have probably the worst owner in all of the NFL. The guy simply doesn’t get it. Probably a blessing in disguise Tom!
Is it the only important thing?
I think the cash in his bank account has cushioned the blow.I got out my 2012 SU media guide and looked at the page on Coach Marrone. It showed a picture of him with his wife and three children.
