Before everyone dismisses his story, like some already have and did off hand with Davis and Lang, consider some things. We don't have any idea if he is talking out his arse and took advantage of the situation as he saw it on EPSN or if he is legit.

1. His father calls him a liar. OK, but since Tomaselli said on facebook that his father also sexually abused him, maybe it is the father that is lying.

2. He gave significant detail of the trip to Pitt. I am sure the feds can easily verify or dismiss that as far as the bus trip, where they stayed, if the trip even existed, etc. Doesn't prove if he was abused, but would support his other statements if true. Dad says he didnt go, but if the details are correct, how would he even know the details?

3. He said he went to Bernie's also. I am sure he was asked for descriptions of the house and I am sure during the search they took pics and were able to verify or dismiss what he described to them. Again, if his details were true, how would he know if he was never there? Also, Dad again said the kid never went there. So the Dad could be shown as the liar if the kid can describe the interior of the house and rooms.

4. He himself has been charged with child abuse. He claims he is innocent but lets assume he is guilty. We have heard professionals say that people who are abused as kids, sometimes end up as abusers as adults. So him being accused of the same thing might be understandable versus dismissing his story simply because he too may be an abuser.

His whole story comes across as messed up, but there was enough credibility for the investigators to go to Albany. He seems like he himself is pretty messed up. But IF he was sexually abused as a kid by his father and Bernie, maybe that is why he is messed up. His own current issues don't off handedly make everything he has accused Bernie of BS just like it didn't with Davis. Let the facts come out before going off and claiming Tomaselli is FOS. He may be, but he may not be.

Seems like there is enough smoke at this point that it is time to start assuming that there is a fire burning there somewhere. Also think the University needs to start taking some more aggressive action to protect/distance itself from the circus. Ideally they should come forward with the results of the B,S & K investigation and paint a truthful and convincing picture as to why they didn't take action previously that would be a start.

And Tomaselli signed an affidavit. He knows the ramifications if he is lying and signed that. I mean the risk of that is HUGE!! Why would he do that?

Another poster mentioned to me that Tomaselli says he spoke with Davis. So Davis could have described the Fine house to him. Excellent point. But then I wonder about the details given about the Pitt trip. Begs the question if Davis was on that trip. I am sure the feds can determine the details of the trip and if they match Tomaselli's description, but is he just parroting Davis's description. Good points.

Somewhere it says he was not offered anything in relation to his own case. That could be BS too but that's what it said.

Tomaselli obviously was in Pittsburgh since he mentioned that they went to Fitzgerald Field House, Pitt's old bball arena which they stopped playing in in 2002. I doubt he would have mentioned that specifically otherwise.

I don't know how he would have gotten in touch with Davis. Schwarz has to be the conduit. I also wonder how the PS found Tomaselli unless someone gave them his phone number or email in Maine. Maybe someone at SPD leaked it to them.

Ramifications from signing a false affidavit? I don't condone it, but you can't seriously think that the ramifications from signing a false affidavit are HUGE. They are basically (and regrettably) nonexistent.

Doesn't it say he has spoken with both Davis and Lang a couple times since their accusations? That is something that jumped out at me. Sounds like he talked to them before talking to police, though that isn't totally clear. If he did talk to Davis beforehand, he could have easily gotten details that way.

Why not ask why someone would molest young boys? We don't know why someone would do that. I could give a lot better answer about why someone would lie than why someone would molest children.

Especially when you are being investigated for child abuse (which apparently the accuser is)...
