Tonights crowd...

Might be the worst I have ever seen.
Deserves it. As terrible as that looks it's the truth. Feel sorry for the kids because they are absolutely trying their hardest but they are just simply out of their league. FALLS ALL on the coaching staff... Simple as that. No talent, no QB, no receivers... It's just bad right now and I'm sorry that it makes me look so negative... It's just bad. Simple as that

This is on Marrone and Shafer. In six years neither one of them have been able to recruit a QB or anyone resembling an offensive weapon. This the worst offense I've seen since watching SU football. Bad players and poor coaching. That's as bad a combination as you can get. Tonight was the first time I ever left early. It's unwatchable. I don't think I can go to another game this year. It's too frustrating. I'm going to have to think long and hard if I'm willing to pay for preferred seats and football tickets. It's been 13 years of bad football. The only semblance of a team was the last few games of Nassib's senior year.

Very bad football. The team has been hard to watch for a long time. They hardly come out for one of the two best lacrosse teams in the history of the sport. The fans WILL NOT SHOW UP IN THIS CITY TO SEE THIS PRODUCT. Did I shout? I'm growing tired of the fans being the problem. They have laid an egg on TV 3 weeks in a row. No excuses but the team has to bring them back with their play on the field. Not the other way around.
It's weird. No one has been able to acknowledge that we've beaten about no one in 6 plus years.

That's fine. Your right to do whatever you want on a thursday night in Syracuse. But it's not just about your entertainment when going to a game, it is also about supporting the program. It's going to be hard to get big time recruits to ever come here when the stadium is half empty every home game.

The Dome was almost full for Villanova. This team sucks, and everyone figured that out quickly. If they showed anything at all, we'd have good crowds. Our offense is an absolutely awful watch.

Not even the football factory schools would have crowds if they put this product on the field. I don't understand what is so hard to grasp about this. CFB is big business, not charity.

Technically all of the universities and the NCAA are charities.

:rolling:

It absolutely was.

its time to drop all and and any donation requirements. we aren't there yet. and now it is time for us, as fans who frequent a forum, to go after other non or barely fans and get them to join.

And in a town like Syracuse where every big business has bailed (GM, GE, Chrysler/Magna, Carrier...etc) people work hard for their money. The citizens who have stayed in town and have not moved have all taken massive pay cuts in new fields of work. Who the hell would invest money into this program that just loses and isn't exciting in the least bit? Seriously, if people don't have the disposable income they aren't gonna blow money on SU football. They will spend their "few entertainment dollars" on SU hoops or movies and stuff like that. And honestly who can fault them?!

Everyone was at home worry about more important things...like ISIS! According to Shafer there are more important world issues and this is just football
i expect gross to have a list of candidates on his desk a week from monday.

thats um, well thats...yeah...

Oh Lord

It's possible to be a bad-but-fun team. However, this isn't it. It's the opposite of fun. Still, the locals came out for Nova. They showed up 40k+ on a Friday night to see SU football. It can happen but there has to be something resembling entertainment on the field.

We need quality assistant coaches. MAC coaches will coach teams that get torn to shreds in the ACC and that's impossible to watch. HCSS should get 2-3 more years to have us winning 8+ games/yr. McD should get 1-2 years to prove that he can do more than recruit. Everyone else, however, better start coming up with reasons why they should be allowed to stay. I want to see Gross open up the bank account and bring in quality assistants. Sure the assistants under Saban are unlikely to leave, but. There are some good coaches at weak P5 teams (i.e. the guys who coach the bright spots on those teams), and if we're serious about winning in football, we will make them an offer they can't refuse.

We made a mistake when we didn't grab PSU's defensive coaches (i.e. Larry Johnson). Let's not repeat that.
