Ronnie Morris?

Ron Morris moved us down to #6. Then again he has Wisconsin at #8 and Iowa St is #15.

Apparently Louisville's win at Rutgers was impressive enough for #3.

I know he goes by the theory of slow change, and not changing things after 1 week or 1 result, which I sort of agree with (even if its against the AP standard)... however its no longer just 1 game or 1 week. The season is more than 40% over.

How the hell does Louisville stay #3.

Morris has now submitted the same ballot 3 weeks in a row. Dude needs to be kicked off the list of voters.

i'm not one for basketball polls but i dont see how you can be 2-0 against the top 10 (and pretty convincingly) and not be rated #1.

a handful of other teams in the same position i'd bet they'd have jumped arizone to be #1. duke, kansas, unc, kentucky, mich state etc)

Syracuse only playes home games. Under ESPN College Basket Ball rules of polling, Syracuse "home" games are discounted even if the "home" arena is where Syracuse' opponent calls it their own home court. Ref: Georgetown, Villa Nova, South Florida, Boston College, etc.

I still prefer Arizona's 3 biggest wins over Syracuse's 3 biggest wins, because Arizona has 2 top 25 level road wins. Both teams have proved their worth as 1-2 (so far) with wins away from home, but a road win is even more legit than a neutral win. So I give Arizona the edge - shoot me.

W at San Diego St (road)
W at Michigan (r0ad_
W vs Duke (neutral)

vs

W vs Villanova (home)
W vs Baylor (neutral)
W vs Minnesota (neutral)

Kansas loses at home and takes it's 4th loss...and drops 2 spots in the poll. They're like a vampire, you can't do them in. They get blue blood points. You can be sure when we lose our first, we'll drop like 8 spots. Unfortunately UNC is now unranked just before we play them.

The only other ranked team in the ACC is Duke at #16. Right now we only have two games remaining against a ranked team (Duke) --- that just doesn't look right.

a couple of head scratchers.

I thought Pitt would sneak into the polls this week
How the F is Cincinnati not ranked yet Memphis is?

Cincy is not ranked because the AAC is not relevant.

This not meant to only be a smart-ass post... When you play in a downgraded conference it will hurt your rep, and it will take even more time to get into the AP rankings.

Ron Morris is incompetent. Why is he allowed to vote on these things? He has a serious problem with Syracuse.

Does anyone know how the AP goes about deciding who votes and who doesn't. Does Waters have a ballot? He's been covering college basketball for forever at this point.

Kansas has played the toughest schedule in the country. That lost to San Diego State was really their first bad loss and honestly SD State is a good team its just you don't expect them to lose at the Phog. Losing to Villanova, @Florida, @Colorado is one thing, but the SD State at home is another. Also, that team is scary in March when their talent will be more gelled together. Self can actually coach and develop talent unlike Calipari who just relies on his talent to bail him out. Kansas is the team I want no part of before the Final Four in March/April.
