Top Four on Tuesday?

still watching the game OSU-PSU.. PSU got a kick return. a INT reversed that led to a TD and an INT reversed that was ruled a TD. OSU was the better team much of the game and should have won easier.

Ok loss to ISU now looks much better, so if you put OSU in where does that leave OK who did thump them. does Wisc get in even if they run the table. what if georgia thumps Ala are they out? you could end up with bunch of 2 loss teams that all have bad losses.

The weak PI that nixed the int was a big/bad call but the reversal was a pretty clear TD. Kick return is the best player vs poor specials; it also takes a possession away from the offense; you don't know they wouldn't score anyway. The 4th Qtr also plays out differently if the score is different.
I agree OSU was the better team but not sure I'd love their chances or anything if they played @PSU.
OU also had several long drives in the 1st half end in 0 pts in their game and it was 3-3 at the half so OSU was pretty lucky there but still got smoked.

Absolutely not true...

College Football Playoff

Polls are taken into consideration for sure, read the protocol.

they are subconciously but not really, unlike the prior system where polls were a certain percentage then computer rankings to spit out a number and rank the teams that way. Now its how do 12 committee members rank the teams 1-25 with what the polls say being basically meaningless

There no way a 1 loss ND jumps from 9 to 4 over a 1 loss Clemson that is already ranked higher.

1 Bama
2 Georgia
3 Ohio State
4 Clemson

5 Wisconin
6 ND
I like Clemson head to head over Notre Dame but the Irish are going to be above them IMO.

The polls are a template they aren’t an absolute.

The loss to Syracuse will ding Clemson temporarily but they still control their own destiny to make the CFB playoffs.

I am hoping for a ND loss and was hoping that NC State was gonna win yesterday.

How is that for a choice, wanted to stab myself in the face for even thinking that I wanted them to win...

I don't think they punish PSU that hard

Georgia
Bama
OSU
PSU

ND
CLEM
Wisc
Oklahoma

Psu won't get hurt by the loss, but their schedule is cupcake soft, I have to put Nd ahead of them.

Not sure what Wisconsin has done to impress anybody.

I kind of agree with you actually. I think the committee will reward undefeated like they are doing with Bama and their weak schedule.

Actually, now that I am looking at Georgia's schedule, the toughest team they played was ND and everyone else is not very good until they play Auburn and GT.

Has anyone in the SEC played anybody worth a damn?

wisconsin will be lower than the rankings have them with their soft schedule to this point

No doubt both Bama and Wisconsin have played weak schedules to date. I'd say Bama's has been a little tougher than Wisconsin's so far but more importantly they've destroyed just about all of them while Wisconsin has struggled with some of their cupcakes.

To be fair Fsu was ranked 3rd when they played them.

How in any world is Bama ahead of Georgia if you look at the schedules? Oh that's right...the preseason poll and not the actual body of work. Wisky schedule is a joke but if they go undefeated they would have beat OSU or PSU. PSU's best win is what Michigan? Northwestern? Why are they ahead of Clemson who is a defending champion along with wins over Auburn and Vtech.

Mine just with the body of work as of 10/30/17:
Georgia
ND
Clemson
Oklahoma

The "committee"
Bama
Georgia
Ohio State
Wisconsin
Now the pundits will say the SEC and Big 10 are the best conferences in football and will harp...harp...harp.

Oklahoma needs to get less penalized for that Iowa State loss, who is now sitting at #14 in the AP.

They beat Ohio State in a game that wasn't all that close. That needs to count for something. If not now, then it really needs to if they beat TCU and Oklahoma State in the next 2 weeks.
