Towson Gameday...

Would like to see more Kuczynski, Ochoa, and Anderson playing.

We looked like the best team in the country in the first and fourth quarters. Flat out, if we can find a way to play like that just a little more consistently look out.

Overall satisfied with the performance, but I just feel when they are sloppy, they leave so much meat on the bone

I know I’m becoming a broken record here, but teams scout has to say “shoot at McCool’s right foot” - has to lock that spot up for us to make it to championship weekend this year. It’s just an automatic goal right now and better teams are going to pick on him.

I just sent a text to friends with the same thought. It is the only thing that makes sense. It is a little more than a 5 hour drive. It would be a lot better to get there at 12:30 am than 2:30 am.

mccool will need to be better come saturday, 3-4 saves in full game is not gonna cut it vs team like maryland
The official scorer credited McCool with 9 saves -- 2 first half, 7 in 3rd qtr, 0 in the 4th. While we didn't get home cooking from the officials, maybe we did from the official scorer. Or at least Jimmy did.

I thought he was noticeably better in the 2nd half. Can’t say an exact number of saves but it was better

If we can limit the sloppy play, we are an ABSOLUTE FORCE
1st and 4th qtr play today and Cuse is a national contender. 2nd and 3rd offense won’t make final 4.

As others said, we still need better focus.

The first 2 goals we fell asleep, and the 3rd should have been an easy slide from Figeuras but he stayed home when there was no one else around to cover. Without those mental lapses, the game is never in doubt after the first 10 minutes. Mullen was good numbers wise but still sloppy too.

if we were just more focused in those two areas, we’re looking at a completely dominant win. That is the kind of effort we need to beat Maryland on the road, Notre Dame, etc..

on the flip side, our offense brought their “B” game and defense brought their ”D” game in the first quarter, (and a better game after that), and we still beat a ranked team by 11.

He definitely was better, made a few nice saves. Needs to keep growing and improving
He looked better in the second half. Was wondering if they counted pipes. Pipes aren’t saves.

I think they counted anything near the goal that didn't go in. In real time I thought he had at most 3 saves in the 3rd qtr.

I rewatched the 4th quarter. Towson had the ball in their offensive end a total of 4 times for a total of about 4 minutes. And 2 of the 4 times were for 10 seconds or less.

Also played on just two days rest while the other team had almost a week off. I sound like a Hopkins fan, but I think it’s notable!
