I disagree. They need to hire the right coach. That is more important than any player. Might they suffer in the short term, of course. Hiring a guy with no head coaching experience because he is close to a player is very short term thinking.

You were spot on. Waited a year to move on from McCall, Frank Martin just about falls into UMass’ lap and now he’s had damn near a perfect first month in terms of player retention and adding in the portal.
