What he asked for and what he received can be two different things. It has been mentioned on this board by insiders that he didn’t get what he thought he would. That's what happened with Maraad Watson. Pena was set to get 800k from Cuse, asked for more and got told to pound sand, and got 300k from State Penn. He took a half million dollar pay cut to be be trash in State College... Watson got 2 mil from Tejas
He was probably going to be a UDFA after he graduated from Syracuse and given the utter lack of offense at PSU, will probably still be an UDFA. The serendipity of NFL roster formation will determine whether he has a pro career or not. I appreciate his efforts at SU but he has been 100% replaced by Johntay Cook.

He was always going to be an UDFA. Look at the really good WRs we've had that didn't get drafted. He's not better than them and he doesn't have eye catching athleticism.
