Trebor Pena transferring to PSU

Nope, he made more money and had no QB for most the season either way
Actually, he reportedly made less at PSU than he would have made here.

That's what happened with Maraad Watson. Pena was set to get 800k from Cuse, asked for more and got told to pound sand, and got 300k from State Penn. He took a half million dollar pay cut to be be trash in State College... Watson got 2 mil from Tejas

2 mil for Watson? Yea they won’t be bringing him back next year after that production.

They brough in a TON of DL via the portal and have some leaving due to graduation this year. I think Watson was brought in for depth this year and then starter in 26.

Trebor and his agent have eyes. They evaluated the scene (QB/OL) here and made a decision. Pretty clear he (Pena) did not think Collins was an asset. Probably the situation could have been handled better from both sides.

They just got Justus terry and have another 5 star DL coming in will be fun to see though who starts.

Pena ruined it for himself he might not even be a undrafted free agent the way his season went he gets 0 sympathy from me.

What? Why would he ask for more money with no offer to leverage? I don’t believe that for a second
I do. I see bad negotiators and people getting bad advice all the time.

Isn’t his agent a friend of his, probably doesn’t have any experience and only gets a one time percentage payout so he wants to make the most in one shot.

I can see someone at PSU saying “he’s only making $600k? we could get him $900k”. So the agent tells Peña to tell Fran PSU offered $900k thinking Fran would match. Instead Fran told him to hit the bricks and took away any leverage Peña had. It was so late in the cycle PSU knew he had to take what they offered $300k.

Because he thought he was going to get an offer from Miami and or his agent misled him. Once Miami fell through and Syracuse closed the door he had no leverage.

Oh I didn’t realize Miami was in the cards

“The good news here, though, is that Cristobal and Co. have been in contact with Pena and his reps, setting up an official visit for this week. Miami isn't the only school getting ready to host him, as 247's Matt Zenitz has reported Pena will also be visiting UCLA and USC - he took a trip to Penn State last weekend too.”

I had said he wasn’t gonna play a lot there with all their 5 star guys they got. Has he played a ton or no

From what I've seen he has had between 25-35 snaps a game.

Imagine paying a guy 2 mil a year to be a depth piece.
