I wish he was up to 11 we might have won a few more games

Was really hoping they would have redshirted Jobity. I know we are decimated on the DL but long term I feel it would have been best for the program.
Also, I do not understand why the coaches burn a redshirt for special teams. If you are in the two deep no problem. Otherwise manage the four games better.
However maybe logic went out the window with the portal.

Depending on how depth goes on the DL next season Jobity may be able to take a redshirt then.

Man, I really don't want to see Brown's redshirt blown this season. Is he just getting special teams snaps?

In the era of kids going pro earlier and transfer portaling, I worry about redshirting less and less.

Looks like Brown is the only one worth paying attention to at this point, but maybe he can get some WR reps in bowl practices and the bowl game.

My assumption with the meaningless bowl is that Tucker, Berg, Jones all won't play. I wouldn't overplay Cooper or any other WRs that won't be, or you don't want, back.

I am fine with whomever sits out the bowl game. Get the kids who we need next season the game experience against what is hopefully a pretty good opponent. Hopefully an opponent that can’t run the ball

For me it's a question of how well you manage the roster.

There's no reason in game 12 to burn a redshirt when the bowl is already secure and the dude only contributes on special teams. Reward a walk on with the handful of special teams snaps. It's not going to make a difference one way or the other.

Even if you're not expecting the guy to play 4 full years after that in the program you're not lopping off what would be the final season of the guy's career, which you would think is their most productive.

I'm saying I'd rather roll the dice on an entire season of 5th year Donovan Brown, which may be nothing, over whatever scant contribution he gives us against a dumpster fire version of BC and our bowl opponent.

Is Dinos job safe at 6-7?

If so, don’t blow any more redshirts than necessary.

If not, it’s all hands on deck.
