They both transferred and had to sit out a full academic year. Spring 2018 and Fall 2018.

Their year transfer penalty ended at the end of the Fall Semester.

So, they were both able to play in the bowl, and since they only played 1 game that season, called it a redshirt.

2018 was the 1st season of the 4 game rule.

Prior to 2018, Adams and Jackson would have blown a full year of eligibility just to play in the bowl. It was a pleasant surprise when Dino said during bowl week that these guys would be available.

It was a not so pleasant surprise for WFVU since both guys combined for 3 TD's.

Yeah, was asking more just because usually you at least see him on offense for a few plays, but didn't notice him at all today.

I definitely saw Enrique Cruz out there as well when Ellis got injured Davis moved to LG and Cruz came in at RT so he should be listed as well

He's like the 6th man on the OL. He's played in every game.

We all should care, mismanaging redshirts could be a huge deal
LOTS of teams build up depth with good use of the the redshirt

Cause he can be a great 4 year piece for us. He isn’t one who will leave early so if we redshirt him now we will have a Redshirt Freshman who has experience playing against P5 level opponents and will be able to bulk up and be a key piece

Depending on how next season's DE depth goes he might have an opportunity to redshirt then.
