SYRACUSE FOOTBALL UNIFORMS

We say thumbs down to the idea of outfitting the Syracuse ORANGE football team in combinations of blue, white and orange with tinges of chrome thrown in now and then when the marketing op seems right.

Don’t we hear the heavenly coaching chorus sing strains of “Tradition” whenever they tout the benefits of their game? Well, the rumored changes at SU suggest football “tradition” rings a tad hollow. They’re called “uniforms” because the look is supposed to be, um, uniform, right? How a team presents itself over a season, or a decade, or over its entire history matters to its fans. Changing the look game by game is a fad the Orange should avoid.
