And neither had to do with the game. Walking up to the Dome, I saw Hunt and another student walk out of a parking lot and heading up the hill too. Hunt was on crutches and had to walk the 2 blocks up the hill. He's a player, with an injury, on crutches. He wasn't allowed to be dropped off at say Gate A? Just found it weird he had to hobble up the hill.

At the end of the half I was in the hallway when our coaches who had been in the box came hustling along wih security headed to the lockeroom. Now we may here on the board debate back and forth about a coach, but 2-3 fans in the hallway weren't happy about something and decided to scream at the coaches using some very salty language. Not cool.

Bees my Dad is in his 80's great shape but blew out his Knee. We were allowed to drive up to the gate. It has to be a mistake on the teams part to have him on crutches. As to the fans they arent true fans

I meant using crutches to get to the stadium.

Point one on Hunt is just baffling. I was also surprised to hear someone ran into him at the pee trough during the game. What, was the locker room closed? I would think he'd be on strict orders to stay off the leg yet there he is wandering around the Dome. That is crazy.

Point two, we have our fair share of yahoos out there. My guess is they were either posters from the JV Board or guys who listen to Mike Lindsley's show...or both.

Was the men's room closer than the locker room?

I hate that the coaches have to walk thru the masses. Any fan who says anything to them outside of encouragement should be shown the door. The emergency exit one with the wind and hope they fall on the way out.

Not sure which of those of two is more 'ed up.

I was the one who ran into Hunt at the pee trough.

I'm assuming they figured it was easier for him to get there than make his way to the locker room.

I also saw the FSU and SU coaches being ushered through the crowds at halftime.

It's just strange. The coaches shouldn't have to do that. A Dome drawback.

You gotta stop hangin around there. No telling who you will run into!

First of all, I'll admit that I'm a wimp. I would have wanted ambulance transport. lol

I have seen players at the pro and college level do things like this as proof of their macho personality. He may have been offered transport. I believe the whole team is taken by bus from South Campus to the Dome. I'm sure he could have been on the bus if he wanted.

I think it was Marrone who made it a team policy to have injured players sit in the stands because the distance from the field to the stands. why risk further injury

I think Hunt was sitting with Lester.

Wass hoping to get someone to confirm this. I did not see him walking up to booth, but I may have missed it.

Confirmed. They showed him on the telecast.

Who knows? But I'm still scratching my head as to why they let him wander around, on CRUTCHES, the week after his injury. Plus, he would have had to climb stairs to get to the rest room, right? No stairs to the locker room. The whole thing is strange.

EDIT: I thought he was on the field, not up in the box with Lester. That's even more worrisome.

If he was in the coaches booth, he climbed a lot of stairs (4x).

I'm guessing nobody thinks it's that much of an issue since he's probably been getting around campus like that since last week. As long as he's following his wt bearing precautions, it's really no big deal.

The entire team walked up to the Quad and past the statue of Ernie.

Gotta admit the first time I read this I was thinking you were talking about Hunt using the pee trough as proff of his "macho personality."

But that was just too weird so I re-read your post.

SOP for most leg injuries even fractures once in cast, actually good for patient to remain as ambulatory as possible if relatively pain free. He may have even been the one that decided how he wanted to go to the dome. This is no big deal.

Those fans are jerks, what can be said. Coaches must ignore the jerks and keep walking. I would think they might have been tossed out by security though.
