I sense that maybe he just expects that Tyler will have the kind of season that will elevate him high enough where he feels it would be a good decision to go.

If we get AW3 the expectation will be at least FF if not more. I think many people will be thinking NC. I'm very superstitious so I'm not saying anything right now.

I don't care what your roster looks like, the expectation should never be a title (and probably not even a Final Four), as too much has to fall into place for that to happen given the structure of the NCAAT and the relative parity in the modern game.

Two points about Tyler Lydon.

1.He had the best all-around skill set on the team last year...and that's taking nothing away from Gbinije or Richardson.
It's a reason some of us saw him as the guy most likely to succeed and (eventually) become the best player of the group,

2. Notwithstanding all that, I'd still like to see him make one of those dunks where he takes off at the foul line.
The Dome would immediately need a new roof.
