Pretty sure Dolezaj had 3 straight alley oops thrown over him and had a couple bad turnovers. Moyer’s rebounding kept us in this.

dolezaj was getting destroyed on the boards. he is scrappy but very small compared to legit ACC big men. moyer at least closer to having the size to compete.

Battle is our best "offensive" player. Tonight was not his night to say the least. He's playing his way to a 3rd year at cuse...not sure how to feel about that because that means we won't have a good season. I want him be to special and lead us to a damn good year! He'll bounce back just really wish we could of stolen this one because they won't get any easier from here on out.

Those threes were directly Howard Washington and Brissett's fault. Syracuse was beginning to pull away with Tyus on the bench.

Totally agreed. We're halfway into the season now and he hasn't shown any improvement over last year. And how exactly is he going to expand his game during the gauntlet of ACC play? If he hasn't shown improvement by now, it's not happening before the end of the year. Defenses know exactly how to play him. He's too one dimensional.

The other thing about that play that hurt was that since Battle had 4 fouls already, he basically conceded the fast break layup the other way...

He had to take Battle out. Washington can't play at this level yet. There was no reason to play help defense when you have 7'2" at the rim. Stay on your man whom you also fouled when he made the three.

Yes, he is not helping himself. I think every team is keying on stopping him. He should come back next year when we have more weapons, Beez, Carey, Buddy, Brissette, Howard. The focus won't be on just stopping him and he'll be able to operate more freely.

I mean Brissett let the same guy shoot back to back wide open threes on his side. That’s not Battles fault. We know we’re not a great shooting team outside of Frank lately. We have to play defense every possession

1. Battle had zero kegs all game .. short on everything (wonder why given the only time he gets any rest is when he has 4 fouls )

2. brisset was Pretty terrible as well .. he got his counting stats but his efficiency was terrible. Two big missed FT in a row .. then two 3’s by Crawford when we were up 5 .. literally just left alone in the corner were on him too
