Serious inquiry: anybody use Uber to get to/from downtown for a game at the Dome?

Yes - quite a few times. I usually have them drop me off at the top of the hill next to the VA Garage. When leaving, I have them pick me up in the circle in front of the VA Hospital.

I am planning on using Uber after the Clemson game...if they are too busy to pick me up, that means more time to celebrate the win at the bars

There is but its a little bit of a hike to get to. I've found it is easier just to get picked up at the VA.

It used to be at the base of the Crouse College steps.

I believe I heard today that Uber pickup and drop off location is at Brewster dorm hall near the VA.

If you haven't tried Lyft before (instead of Uber), you should give them a shot -- find drivers to be friendlier.
