NEW YORK – Syracuse and Connecticut will renew their rivalry at the Jimmy V Classic on Tuesday, Dec. 5. The match up is the second game of the night at Madison Square Garden and is scheduled for a 9 p.m. tip off.

The game will be televised on ESPN and the Watch ESPN app. Fans can also listen to the broadcast on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.

For Starters
- Syracuse suffered its first setback of the season against No. 2 Kansas on Saturday. The Orange enter Tuesday's game with a 6-1 record. Syracuse received 13 votes in this week's USA Today Coaches Poll.

- The Orange will play in Madison Square Garden for the 36th consecutive season. Syracuse is 94-77 at MSG, including a 76-48 mark during head coach Jim Boeheim's tenure.

- Tuesday's game marks the 94th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Connecticut. The Orange own a 55-38 advantage in the series between the former BIG EAST rivals. Last season, the Huskies defeated Syracuse, 52-50, in Madison Square Garden.

Scouting the Huskies
- After going 1-2 in the PK80-Phil Knight Invitational, Connecticut has won two in a row to improve its record to 6-2.

- The Huskies feature a balanced offense as four players are averaging double figures in scoring. Jalen Adams, who is coming a 31-point performance against Monmouth, leads the way, averaging 19.4 points per game. Terry Larrier (16.0 ppg.), Christian Vital (12.3 ppg.) and Antwoine Anderson (10.3 ppg.) also contribute more than 10 points per game. Adams has dished out a team-high 23 assists, while Larrier averages a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game.

- Kevin Ollie is in his sixth season as the head coach at Connecticut. Ollie, a four-year starter at point guard for the Huskies in the mid-1990s, guided Connecticut to the 2013-14 national championship.

On the Orange Horizon
Syracuse returns to the Carrier to face Central New York foe Colgate on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. Tickets for all Orange home games are available online at Cuse.com, by phone at 1-888-DOMETIX or in person at Gate B at the Carrier Dome.

Would be nice to see our 7'2 center actually complete a dunk, and not get a T for hanging on the rim.
Would be nice to see Moyer contribute something again.
Would be nice to see Washington get 5-6 points.
Would be nice to see Sidibe lock down whatever bigs they have.
Would be nice to see Battle not relied upon 75% of the possessions to score.
Would be nice to see Frank have < 4 TOs
Would be nice to see Brissett get 16 & 10
Would be nice to see Dolezaj get 10 & 7

I think not having this as the start of the Kansas thread is why we lost. Love this addition. Keep it up Hak!

WOW! Quite a Christmas list. Have you been good this year? :)

I have the Nova/Zaga game on in the background so I'm only half listening. I think one of the halftime talking heads just said something about Syracuse needs to find a way back to the Big East.:vomit:

Here's hoping Gonzaga doesn't foul down 17.

Edit -- spoke too soon.

Uconn always makes me nervous. I expect a close one, hope im wrong.

They have solid guards. Expect adams to have a game.

Gotta dominate glass.

You probably have to deal with a lot of popups, but it they worked for me all MLB season. If you need to use it on an iPad, best to run it through the browser called PUFFIN for some reason. Safari makes it harder to get rid of the ads.
