SU in full control of the game. Tucker will get his yards and will shine. UConn is built for the running game offensively and defensively, it is what they do and it is all they do, and yet they cannot stop Tucker. Nor can they Shrader's passing game. Eight receivers, sharing the wealth. The puppies D is wearing down. I expect they will be recharged for a series or two when they return after the half, but then the Orange offense should pretty much do whatever they want and Tucker will run all over them. I will not be surprised if he breaks a couple of really long runs, unless they don't give us a long field to start with, but that's a different issue.
The defense had only one bad series and truthfully, it wasn't that bad as the pups are designed to run, they ran and we had subs in, they had a lot of uncalled penalties to assist (I think the refs are feeling sorry for them). Plus, let's be honest, before that series, they hadn't been on the field very much, they were getting a little jealous, everyone wants to see the field, or in this game, the floor - have I been influenced by the PBP announcer?
Anyway, SU is up 27-7. There are things to work on, but it is hard to complain. I do not want SU to coast, I want the foot on the gas pedal and I want to see Twos and Threes in the game. No need to see unnecessary injuries.
