On 4th and 2 in/near the red zone it really doesn't matter the talent/playing style. Converting has such a high expected value of points. The only time you shouldn't is in the late third quarter on when the 3 points move you past a tipping point number on the lead.

You have to be able to convert though. And that doesn’t account for the human factors of momentum, confidence etc.
