UConn postgame

Someone who knows the rule explain our OT TD to me….

Simmons had the ball loosely in his hands over the goal line, but he really didn’t seem to secure it until he went to the ground outside the end zone.

Did the ref think he had possession past the goal line, even though the ball was definitely wobbly after that?
Looked like he had it secured to me...

- Not a good game. But it’s much easier to do this improvement stuff after a win. It looked dead… like almost like you were only watching it because we love them. I actually understand why some left even though you really shouldn’t in a two score game.

- Willis was clearly a bit banged up. He took a shot early in the game went to the sideline. That’s why his usage was off.

- Cook also a bit injured. We should rest both of them next week.

- It seems to me Angeli doesn’t take a big drop off the snap. He rly sits in the pocket and needs to work on that awareness.

- If you stunt on the Syracuse Oline you will get home.

- I wanted JRS to get a little meaner. He did that today.

- Should not have got to overtime. Chestnut needs to absolutely light up that really good UCONN player there, the team still seems hesitant tackling.

- I caught Fran on the 3rd and 20 where they almost converted rolling his eyes a bit… seemed to be at the defensive play call.

- Derek McDonald in coverage cannot happen anymore.

- Dan Vilari is way too athletic to have a season like last year. Stud.

- Deslauriers is insane. What a player, we got a bit lucky on the final play tbh but still good reactions.

- I was calling for Collins but you don’t make a change after that from Angeli the comeback.

- I was terrified we were gonna lose that on a 2 point conversion.

- If we lost that, season over. Now will be 2-1. All in front of Cuse!
It’s like you looked inside my brain. Post game celebration edible is really hitting home.

Why didn’t we run more clock on first and goal with 50 seconds left and a timeout left? Would have left UConn with no time.

I think it would have been appropriate to run 10-15 seconds off the clock so you left them around 30 secs if you scored on 1st Down, but also left you time to not be panicked on your following downs.

But what do I know, I was just undefeated on Tecmo Bowl

BTW, there needs to be a ban on talking about Shafer or GRob or Dino within 24 hours of any game.
Talk about Mac, talk about Pasqualoni, but that’s it.
I didn't have the heart to make any comments to UCONN fans leaving the dome. Now if it was their trashy basketball fans...

I questioned that TD in the game thread.

If we're being honest, UConn really had no business losing that game. I feel like they got too conservative with their playcalling in the second half. There were numerous times they could have given us a knockout punch, but just couldn't connect.

If the roles were reversed and we lost a game in that exact fashion, I would agonize over it for like 10 years.
