Wait, same time or at different times? Because that makes a difference.

I don't want to see the ACC champion forced to play the Big East champion. I am hoping the Orange Bowl tie-in is with the 2nd place B1G team or a rotation among Notre Dame, SEC, B1G, and the Big XII.
If it's Notre Dame does that count as a Big East tie in? Because I'm hoping thats the best the Big East gets out of this. It's way to early to give the NBE any credence with respect to national viewership and following.

Yes, the ACC has poached the Big East to the point of irrelevance and all of a sudden its going to share its biggest stage with them?

Ok then.

Also, Oklahoma to the Big Ten.
Dude your a wannabe Kaiser with your smug attitude. If the other conferences don't give the Orange Bowl the commitment then what can the Orange Bowl do? I don't want the Big East champion involved but your BS responses are starting to become ridiculously stupid. Last week you claim because 1 person I don't even remember was confident in our offense that everybody was calling our offense the Greatest Show on Turf now this smug response. BTW Your OU to the B1G is SO funny. Next you'll tell me Tim Tebow's 11 Rushing Yards Led The Jets To 48-28 Rout Of Bills.

You can do better.

The Big East can't though.

I'd rather play the 3rd place team from SEC or Big 10 if those are the only options. 2nd place B12.

I agree the big east.. Yuck. If we ever get that far I want to play somebody who is worthy, win the ACC only to face Cinci? BFD

The money quotes from that article include:

“I've been talking to some people regarding the Orange Bowl. I think they're fair-minded people to gain some measure of access. Ultimately, I think we've got a shot to do that.”

We would like to have some kind of guaranteed access … We're just looking for some way to gain fair access. There could be some different conferences and Notre Dame in the mix. We would hope we could be part of that.

It should be noted that there is no buzz about the Big East from the Orange Bowl, at last check.

This can also be read as:

BIG EAST: "Pleeeeease?!?!"
ORANGE BOWL: ...

BIG EAST: "Pleeeeease?!?!"
ORANGE BOWL: ...

BIG EAST: "Pleeeeease?!?!"
ORANGE BOWL: ...

FWIW, I'm not saying there isn't some scenario where the Orange Bowl decides to have a rotation, at their discretion, of ND, Big East champs and Big 12/SEC/Big 10/Pac-12 #2s & #3s as the ACCs opponent.

But the desperation of those quotes is comical.

that, I want the Orange Bowl to keep that spot open. All conferences will have their top teams commited (Champions and Rose, Orange). That means Orange should almost every time, have their pick of the best #2 team from any conference.

When this came out a while ago, I listed the typical top 4 or so teams from the major conferences as a potential pool of opponents in the Orange Bowl. All were way preferable to anyone in the NNBE and you could go even further down before coming up with someone that you'd set aside in order to play the NNBE champion.

The Orange Bowl should pick the best available (or highest ranked) team to face the ACC representative. That could be a NNBE team once in a blue moon, or ND, or BYU, but more likely the #3, or possibly #2, from one of the other top conferences.

I want 1st pick of every available team (after the "Football Four," the Rose Bowl and the Champions Bowl)

**This includes ND and BYU**

If L'ville gets stuck in the Big East or Boise St stays there and perhaps occasionally Cinci could make a run. regardless, get someone who travels well and is respected.

The BE is a tougher conference top to bottom than the ACC. Next year.

Enjoy this conference, it will be better than ACC at racking up frequent flyer miles for all football members.

Sure. That's why you want out and your President is whoring herself to everyone.

If this were to ever happen it would be extremely disappointing and Swofford should get a swift kick in the cahones.
