We’re not going to outrecruit the southern ACC schools. Kids want to go to warm weather schools. It’s a reality we have to deal with. We’re lucky we have the Dome.

No one expects SU to out recruit Duke and or UNC or Virginia, we haven't ina long time and have beaten all 3 fairly regularly. This isnt a recruiting issue (though it could be better) its a coaching one or lack thereof.

Recruiting is gaits job, wasn’t that the selling point? Money, recruiting? If you’re going to do nothing in the huddles and never make a single in game move, your name better be bringing in 5 stars. What’s the point of gait then?

I’d really like to see ipp in cage. He least seems to react n not guess as much as mccool. Also please please someone on the one believe blair goal from right wing rip. I am almost positive mccool had his eyes close when trying to save it. They show someone close up n seem his eyes were closed. As he was no near where the ball was at all. Gets beat near side more then any goalie i have ever seen.

I am serious i think ipp should least get a shot to play. Mccool has never made a save ever where you asked how he do that. As jake maraek made 3 point blank 1v1 saves in game before. Mccool is nothing but a big body who moved slow can’t drop fast nor does he stick his stick in ground. He gets saved cause our D gives up a ton of shots. The one wambach goal where chuck was all over him throwing checks. Chuck should have took body pushed him out but if beck slide he wouldn’t have gotten shot off. Beck was right there n just waited. If beck took two steps prob hits wambach as he bout to shoot n no goal.

The coaches are bad or gait n march. I think coach O is actually pretty good. I think the players just don’t do what he tells them or go rogue more then it’s coach Os plan. Think the seniors n stuff they do are more of problem then coaching is but both are bad. These seniors just constantly make terrible decisions at the worst possible times. I’ll give mullen credit he started out nice n been saying him being 50/50 is the main diff of us actually in the game or blown out. Won’t say winning cause we can lose game on our own. But still this team misses huge huge big time gbs. Still taking poor shots n not burying good chances.

This team is prob first round or if lucky qrt round n done. Us syracuse fans deserve more.

McIntee and Hahn are good players but both have hit the Frosh wall. The fact we can't work anyone else in is very disappointing. As you noted I would have given McCarthy some run and even that other attackmen who has played some on the 2nd line whose name escapes me.

They probably won't playing like this but they certainly can. Again they already beat Duke and UVA this year. Your way over valuing the talent gap.

Joey is mostly the only one who can clearly see is giving it everything. I watched leo so many times this year jog or trot or just zero effort on some plays. He did it on a play where we got shot or pass but went out n unc guy going for leo could of made play (tho we suck at gbs so doubtful) but he didn’t even bother. just stood n watched. Yes we were going man up anyway. But that right there that effort of not caring or not going 100% is why we lose in big games.

I just think with draft happening n pll n some guys knowing they will continue playing they fall into a normal routine kinda thing. Mean where is leo or finn selling out for gb ? Least will give joey credit he goes hard n tries to do whatever he can. Sadly he doesn’t get same energy from some of his teammates. Watching leo this year has really turned me on him. Just with the lack of effort n horrible choices he makes. Hate to say it he is great player. Just doesn’t have enough heart or respect for game or his team. Glad he wasn’t at attack today.

They should have switched goalies during UNCs run, after the second high to high miss.

So your argument is purely recruiting, when that is supposed to be gaits strength. If we’re going to lose recruiting regardless, then What does gait do? Then get the better Xs and Os coach. I’ve been watching this team closely for more than 35 years, There’s a reason Desko and Gait can’t get over the hump the last 10 years.

What team is killing it out on the Road? Yes SU isn't the same team away from home but what team is? You could argue Princeton but even ND lost at UVA and won by one versus at Ohio State and 7-6 at Duke.

The attraction argument is 100% false, again your comparing recruiting against the rest of the ACC with recruiting in general vs the rest of the country. The team continues to bring in on average a couple of 5 stars and then another handful of 4 stars each class. As noted SU is never going out recruit UNC/Duke/UVA but they have been in the top 10 every year under Gait. Talent isn't a problem it's a coaching issue same reason why the UNC team you love hasn't won a tourney game in literally a decade.

I agree partially on Mullen. He’s hasn’t been great but when you have no back up and atrocious wings to ever help you out it’s tough. I’d argue dwan and Finn have had the biggest regressions of this class

The violation issues have been albatross around Mullens neck. He has had for him a down year. Al that said to go 50% against Wambach is hard to criticize. McCool like this team is just struggles to perform consistently. Has a couple of great games in a row and then you get this current stretch were the last 3 of 4 he's struggled. I don't have the answer with McCool not sure the staff does either.

Wing play is a huge issue. Was actually slightly better the last few games but still way below where it needs to be. We haven't had good wing play since Stevens graduated.

Matt Ward called games stink.

His voice is as high as my 10 year old’s.

He can't fix his voice, of course. But he could AT LEAST be talking about the game he's calling and we're watching, instead of telling us a story about his leg cramps 19 years ago.

Somebody told these guys they should just say whatever comes into their mind (Ward, Anish, Paul, Quint) and they all ran with it. Just tell me the score and the guy's name with the ball. And if he's a sophomore or junior. That's all I need.

They love creating these narratives and then talking about them ad nauseam and repeating them for all 4 quarters and then they can say, "See, I told you this might happen."
