UNC Postgame

JB always had that competitive temperament. In the BE, the Nation's top recruits usually had the Cuse on their short list. More than we like to admit, a large part of our attractiveness was our rivalries. In addition, the BE had a reputation of rugged urban playground ball. Everyone knew about Ruckers. This was our image and it attracted urban legends like Pearl. The ACC killed our ability to recruit. Not JB's fault. It was the way the dice fell, football rules.
I remember you posting that you are a few years younger than JB. So I empathize with you, but you are truly in denial about the effects of aging. JB may still have been as competitive as ever on game day, but there are multiple stories that he was not grinding as hard as he needed to with the other aspects of being a college basketball coach in today's era, most particularly recruiting.

Was listening to Dusty and Danny on Sirius, they teased their next segment, Cuse bball coaches and players had a decision to make in their last game. We will tell you next. I had to go in for a meeting at my son's school, did anyone catch the segment? I figure it was about the decision to foul or not foul when it was a 10 pt game.

Eh the conference is meaningless by and large. Recruits are picking coaches, brands and $$$
