I'm thinking we'll probably be slight underdogs in the next three games, then favored at BC and FSU, maybe a pick em vs. NC State, then underdogs in the following three. Literally, none of these opponents except maybe UVA are scary to me at all, but any of these teams could beat us if we don't perform well.

HUGE opportunity in our next two home games to develop some semblance of a tourney resume.

I honestly think they are going to have a really solid ACC tournament. Young team that is improving and familiar with the opponents. Seems like they always struggle in Greensboro so why not this year they make the semifinals

We're so overdue for conference tourney success. That magical GMac run is approaching 20 years. And it's been a decade since we made the title game of the BET.

If Pitt loses today then we are tied for 3rd. If not, then 4th. That said, we can't depend on only beating the bottom feeders.

If we can get to 9-3 in the league, which would mean our biggest win streak in terms of quality all season, we should be in the 70s in the NET and top 3 in the league. Likely starting to get rumbles of interest from the bracketologists like 8th team out etc. It would equate to two Q1 wins and then a 4-3 road record on the year to date.

We need to get 20+ wins in the regular season even to have a chance going into the ACCT. Then we need 1-2 wins there. That is just my opinion, though. Tuesday could be our first Q1 win.

The UNC game will give us a chance to see just how good Jesse really is. He's been very good for the most part but has lapses where he almost seems to be afraid to take charge around the basket.

If he isn't strong and smart from the beginning, Bacot will take him to school. The winner of that matchup will go a long way towards deciding who will be first team ACC.

Win and we become UNC fans the rest of the way. For the final team sheet the net ranking is based on the year end finish, not where a team was ranked at the time of the game.

I remember when we beat Carolina at MSG early in the season. It was our Wes Johnson team. We were so pumped! The team believed because of that win that they were a good team. (Surprise! They were.) But Carolina had one of their worst seasons ever, as it turned out.

Psychology is powerful. If we can beat UNC tonmorrow it will be a big lift to our players, not to mention the fans.

(mostly) backloaded schedule lines up nicely for a young team...getting better and better throughout the season

Now it's time to take the next step...everything is still possible this year...now it's on the players.

Haven't watched UNC all year. Do they still have the big boys to abuse our front line? In the Roy years the best offense for UNC was a missed shot for their bigs to play volleyball with.

its just that there are so few marquee wins available on this schedule...all the wins are pretty lowly teams...

need some name brand wins to make the postseason...at some point need to start beating some of these teams

but i agree that any one game isnt make or break, even now

Because it would have been a Q1 (our only Q1) win. There aren't many of those opportunities left on the schedule. They have no shot at any sort of bubble conversation with 0 Q1 wins and just 1 Q2 win.
