I find it amazing that in this day and age, something this big, having to involve many people, could be kept so quiet.

Big East anger seems targeted at Pitt. With the thing about 27 months notice, I'm wondering if Syracuse in someway put the league on notice of a possible departure (perhaps not as to which conference) some time ago, perhaps during the Big 10 expansion.

I think the anger is directed at Pitt because their pres was beating the drum of conference unity the loudest most recently.

I wonder if there is any way to negotiate a quicker departure.

It's pay up $5 million OR 27 month notice. SU & Pitt could be in ACC next year.

With all due respect, I believe it is $5 million with 27 months notice. I can't believe that the BE will be a viable conference for another 27 months.

I actually was standing in the Georgia Tech administration's box at their game when they voted... Very cool... Historic
