USF Doing a White Out

Ive said this before and I know many don't agree but I've always liked the UConn trip. Easy to get to, great visitors tailgating area, hotels easy to get and a few minutes away, comfy little stadium etc.

And don't forget the free beer showers in the stands.

UConn will be a huge trip for us next year...I figure 200 tix

This will be the first USF game I have missed since we started playing down there and I will admit I am a bit bias as I have a buddy who lives on the beach in Indian Rocks but I will back Mark here while the scene inside the stadium is far from electric it is a great trip and great place to see a game. Great tailgates, fans are very laid back, etc. It is a great time for sure. Big college venues are cool for sure but can be a bit much, USF has always been a great spot, laid back and a ton of fun. To me the game is one thing but it's just easy to go down there with no BS.

I went to Clemson last year, great spot but will probably never go back, would much rather got to Tampa or Louisville

Does that mean USF will wear white uniforms too? Meaning we would be wearing a home uniform? So we wear home colors, USF wears road colors, and we play in a stadium that is about 1/4 full...this sounds like a home game to me. We should be very comfortable.

South Florida is already a home game for Cuse basketball. Probably should just call it what it is and accept that it's a home game for football too

I will be in the House decked out in my Orange...Go Cuse. Syracuse University Alumni group of Tampa is sponsoring a Tailgate. It should be great! Where is Texas Mark and his crew meeting up? Have to stop by and greet all the Orange. The last few years, I have followed the Cuse to New Orleans, NC State, and Clemson last year. Can't wait until next year down in Cajun Country!! If you have not been to an away game....What are you waiting for?????

I feel like every game i have been to at Rentschler was sub zero and gale force ice winds the entire game though. For the most part i agree, that as a visiting fan its a convenient place to attend a game. Uconn fans suck though.

When you go on a road trip (at least for me) the game environment is just a part of the trip...going to Bama, LSU, Clemson, etc...are great once in awhile but there are some downsides...and frankly it is a pain in the butt and expensive to park, get to, attend and sleep.

I hear ya, just having a little fun with it.

I agree. I think people forget that away games are only PART of the trip. The game is only 4 hours of your time...so you want things to do besides drinking before and after the game...well SOME of us do anyways haha.

I think you should give Wake a shot next year. Spend Friday night in Charlotte and head to the game on Saturday. It's a nice, friendly, stadium and the tailgate is just across the street. Last year they even offered readmittance passes (grab a brew at your vehicle).

I'm not sure about Clemson next year. It was a bit of a hike from our tailgate. It's the closest division game from my house so I'm sure I'll go again at some point.

Wake is a great place to watch a game and tailgate. The stadium is small but right on top of the field so the seats are great, and the tailgate being right across the street is awesome! Can't wait to go back next year.

Awesome tailgating...basically your parking was the equivalent of the Stadium Lot...but as a $10 cash lot. We outnumbered the Wake Fans in the parking Lot...they tended to tailgate in their permitted Lots.

W-S is kinda of a dump but it wasn't too bad...not much to do outside FB in W-S...so if you come maybe plan a golf round or sightseeing in the surrounding area.

I think OrangeSox44 already has his overnight camping spot in the parking lot picked out. :D

This guy approves...

Your typical USF crowds, lol. They had 14k for Memphis. "White Out"?...riiiiigggghhhhtttt...

I don't understand why they even open up the upper deck. They sure miss their Big East status and Jim Leavitt!

Jurrie: upperdeck is supposed to be closed.

USF needs a 30k expandable to 45k on-campus stadium...they are seeing that losing really kills attendance...especially among newer programs.

I don't think Syracuse fans should be poking fun at any attendance numbers. Maybe its just me

I'm the first one to point out our attendance shortcomings, but 14k for a conference game against an undefeated opponent! Come on!

Pro town, lots of distractions, half the city is from somewhere else, losing lately...it happens.

I'm expecting to see a noticeably large Orange contingent on TV this weekend. I wanna hear the chants Mark! Let's Go Orange! Clap Clap, Clap Clap Clap

I just want to see the game somewhere on a screen. Seems like an uphill battle to just see the game.

Not for me. I always make sure to get the sports package with my cable. Between that and WatchESPN, I never miss any games.

I get WatchESPN through Sling. Have a VPN for blacked out games. And basic/local cable.

Get most of the games for $20 a month. This is the first one since either NW or Minny on the B1G channel 2-3 years ago that's been a problem.

Might just go to Tullys.
