UVa and Va Tech not going anywhere

Amen...may this be some of the info to come out in the next two weeks that allays are the f ears. It does amaze that some blogger or reporter can stir so much up. Just got to believe good things are on the way!

Hopefully this makes everyone feel a little better.

"Virginia Tech's Jim Weaver and Virginia's Craig Littlepage said this week their programs are happy in the ACC, believe the league is as strong as ever and think the new television contract with ESPN is a big plus for the conference.

Both dismissed persistent internet rumors that Clemson and Florida State are about to bolt for the Southeastern Conference." (Hopefully that also applies to the Big 12)

"I think the commitment of the 12, soon to be 14, institutions to each other is stronger than it's ever been," Littlepage said, referencing the upcoming additions of Pittsburgh and Syracuse. "A lot of the chatter and rumors that are going on is unfounded. No one is talking about other conferences. No other conferences have been in touch with schools from the ACC."

Equally strong comments recently from Miami and GT.

Of course, they are clearly out of the loop.

The "dude" and others of equally impressive stature have said it's a done deal: just the paperwork needs to be completed.

I have no doubt that the ACC is the perfect place for SU. It's great to read that some of our future partners are laying it out unequivocally that they are in it for the long haul. First Miami, and now UVA and VTech. Good to go, so long as none of these 3 are full of donkey dust.
