VT kicks the PAT, during which, an SU rusher is pick up and dropped onto the holder. After a long conference, the referees award VT an additional point, citing a previously unknown, unwritten rule about such an incident. The ACC commissioner's office will later say that there is no such rule and the point should not have been given, but also states that once the referees have awarded the points, there is no rescinding them. When the head official is asked later if the roles were reversed, would SU be given the points, the official laughed, turned and left the room.
