we had so many kids on the field running around with no helmets could have easily gotten a celebration Penalty and the BC coaches were pointing it out as well..

I think after the Syracuse-Kansas State Pinstripe Bowl game where a questionable celebration penalty played a crucial role, they've really backed off on calling celebration penalties. By rule they could have called it, but I'm glad they're finally using good judgement and not penalizing spontaneous celebrations when teams score in the final ten seconds to win a game and clinch a bowl berth.

That kind of stuff was never what the Miami Rule was supposed to eliminate, and they looked stupid every time they called it. They've finally gotten it to a point where the rule isn't a complete fiasco, so I would have been shocked if they called it there.

And BC had quite a few on the field after their last TD too.

anyone remember the amount of celebrating that SU got called for against Oklahoma in 1994? More or less than what they did yesterday?

they only needed a fg. they were getting the ball on every kick around the 30.. we kick off 15 yds back so now they get it around the 40. that kid had a big leg. they are one 15 yd pass or PI call from field goal range and they had TO's

didn't matter on timeouts as your not getting more than 1 play with 6 seconds left. and a fg only tied the game

yep the Kstate game the call was for some post TD gesture the Kst. player made which was exactly what Hunt did and we got lucky with a no call. Thankfully the refs showed some discretion and smarts.

Id say significantly more yesterday. As I said, I think they finally figured out how to not be idiotic with the rules. Not sure why it took 20 years, but lets just celebrate small steps here...

I believe it was 6 secs before the kick-off. Was only going to be one play for BC after they got it back.
